I know more people who think Bush is a friggin moron but agree that we are right to force Sadam one way or another to give up his weapons and to "deal" with him.

Correction...
UN Resolutions demand that Iraq get rid of its WMD's and not create anymore.
UN instituted sanctions to encourage Iraq to comply.
Iraq agreed to this 12 years ago.


I believe under various International agreements (mostly under the Soviets and then the Russian Federation) we cant have more than a certain amount of ICBM's...however we can continue to maintain and upgrade what we do have. I would rather see the Gov upgrading and maintaining than letting old 50's and 60's tech breakdown and being a extreme danger to area's they are near. Though personally....I wish we could get rid of them all...

There is still no evidence that Iraq didn't comply. Not that I'm a big fan of Saddam at all, but I think it's kind of iffy even to ask a country to get rid of all it's weapons, then bomb it on a weekly basis for the next 12 years and then threaten it and attack is. But it's going on now and Iraq is obviously not capable of really holding it's ground to the country that spends more money on it's army then all the rest of the world put together.

Any evidence the US finds now is not very credible since no one knows whether it was there in the first place or whether it was planted to justify the war.

But whatever, once the war is over and the real problems begin when they have to try and rebuild a country that's been impoverished and consists of a couple of dozen different tribes who aren't really fond of each other we'll all be fed something else by the media anyway. No worries here.
